BY LAWS – DOMAIN TENNIS CENTRE INC. (THE “CLUB”)

You agree to abide by the following when entering and using Domain Tennis Centre (DTC) facilities:

  • Conditions of Entry
  • Conditions of Court Usage / Hire
  • Traffic Management

 

Conditions of Entry

  1. You are responsible for your property at all times. The DTC accepts no responsibility for any property stolen, lost or damaged.
  2. Only authorised DTC coaches may provide tennis coaching at the DTC.
  3. Security and other cameras operate within the DTC. You acknowledge that you may be filmed.
  4. You acknowledge that you will be exposed to certain risks when using the facilities, including but not limited to physical injury and death. You enter the DTC at your own risk. The DTC will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered by any person entering the facility (including liability for any injury, loss or damage caused by the negligence of DTC or its employees or contractors).
  5. You must behave appropriately, with due regard for others, and abide by the policies of the Club. You must follow the directions of the DTC. Derogatory comments, abusive language and inappropriate or disruptive behaviour towards staff and others will not be tolerated.
  6. You shall not act in a manner that will likely bring the Club into disrepute. The DTC reserves the right to refuse entry to any person or remove any person from the site. The DTC may impose a penalty on members who fail to comply with the provisions of the Club’s Constitution and By-laws. Penalties may include suspension or cancellation of Club membership or a ban from using the Club’s facilities.
  7. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on site.
  8. If you cause any damage to DTC property, you must make good the damage.
  9. Do not bring your own alcohol to be consumed on-site at any time or for any reason in line with the Liquor Licence Act 1990.
  10. You are not to advertise, solicit or initiate personal services, commercial dealings, or sale of goods to members or visitors on any part of the Club complex without written permission from the DTC General Manager.
  11. Always wear neat attire on the court and other DTC site areas. Shirts must be worn at all times.
  12. No animals (except registered assistance animals) are permitted on the DTC site unless given prior approval by DTC General Manager.

 

Conditions of Court Usage / Hire

  1. Court bookings are required – All players must book (and, if applicable, pay) for the courts before use. DTC Members are responsible for the payment of their guests’ fees. 
  2. Court bookings are to be made at reception or via the DTC website booking page.
  3. Non-members are required to pay a court fee. Both members and non-members are required to pay for night light use.
  4. You must strictly adhere to the allocated time slot and the court number of your booking. The DTC may alter the court allocated, so please check in at DTC reception on your arrival. Additional court time may be requested via DTC reception.
  5. Only non-marking sports shoes are to be worn on the courts. Glass containers are prohibited from the court areas due to Occupational Health and Safety requirements. You should follow any signage.

 

Traffic Management

The DTC is increasingly busy with cars, buses, and other vehicles. The car parking areas also have significant pedestrian (often young children) traffic. The DTC offers limited car parking onsite, however there is street parking in the vicinity.

  1. Traffic Movement
  • The maximum speed on site is 10km/hr.
  • All vehicles MUST give way to pedestrians.
  • All vehicles must obey traffic rules.
  1. Parking
  • Parking is available for members and guests whilst playing tennis or attending functions for up to four hours.
  • Parking is available for customers of leaseholders whilst attending these businesses.
  • Vehicles should not be left at the DTC at other times or for prolonged periods.
  • Vehicles should only be parked in marked spaces. Avoid parking on walkway areas, and where applicable, note some spaces are reverse-only parking. Obey any signage.
  • Owners of electric vehicles should not use DTC power to charge their batteries.
  • We reserve the right to initiate the removal illegally parked vehicles.
  • No provision is available to open the gate to remove vehicles after the usual club closing hours.
  • The DTC leaseholders are allowed parking as per their lease agreements.
  • There may be no onsite parking allowed during certain events—E.g., Hobart International.
  1. Other
  • All vehicle owners enter DTC grounds at their own risk.
  • The DTC cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to any vehicle parked in the parking area incurred for any reason. e.g., vandalism, theft, or accidental damage
  • Bicycles are welcome onsite. Please park your bike so it does not interfere with pedestrians or is likely to cause damage to other property.
  • All motor vehicles brought onsite must be registered by a State Transport Authority.
  • The DTC General Manager may provide exemptions.
