The Domain Tennis Centre has been home to the Moorilla Hobart International since 1994. The event is held in January each year as a lead-in to the Australian Open. The tournament has launched many players into the top echelon of women’s tennis, including Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin, Alicia Molik and Anna Chadkvetadse among others.

The club has hosted the Tasmanian Open since its inception and the winners represent a who’s who of Australian and world tennis. They include: John Bromwich, Adrian Quist, Frank Sedgman, Ken Rosewall, Neal Fraser, Rod laver, Martin Mulligan, John Newcombe, Arthur Ashe, Tony Roche, Ray Ruffels, Fred Stolle, Alex Metreveli, Mrk Edmondson, Helen Gourlay, Billie-Jean King, Margaret Court, Kerry Melville, Di Fromholtz and Olga Morizova.
